Bryce received his Ph.D. from Queens University in Canada in 2002 where he studied signal transduction using yeast. From there he moved up the evolutionary scale to flies, still in the field of signal transduction and innate immunity, before settling on phage display and synthetic antibodies in the lab of Sachdev Sidhu in Toronto in 2010. Bryce set up a lab in Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in 2013 and served as director of antibodies and phage display before accepting a position at the Yale Cancer Biology Institute in 2015.
