Jonathan Bates, PhD, is an Associate Research Scientist in Applied Mathematics, Cardiology, and Emergency Medicine at Yale University and the Yale University School of Medicine and a member of the Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation at Yale-New Haven Hospital. His research covers topics in machine learning, medical imaging, text mining, natural language processing, cohort selection, social network analysis, manifold learning, spectral geometry, signal processing, and risk stratification. Dr. Bates received his doctorate in Biomathematics from Florida State University in 2013 and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Medical Informatics at Yale/VA Connecticut in 2015.
