Biography

Judith Meyers, a clinical and community psychologist, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Children’s Fund of Connecticut, a public charitable foundation, and its subsidiary, the Child Health and Development Institute of Connecticut, where she has worked for the past twelve years. These organizations focus on improving health outcomes for children through promoting the development of comprehensive, effective, integrated community-based health and mental health care systems.

She has devoted much of her career to issues of public policy and service system reform for children and their families through her current and former positions including as a Senior Policy Advisor to Massachusetts Governor Dukakis, Commissioner of Iowa’s Division of Adult, Child & Family Services, and Senior Associate at the Annie E. Casey Foundation. She has authored articles, chapters, and monographs in the field of children’s mental health, child welfare services, and child health and has served as Chair of the American Psychological Association’s Committee on Children, Youth and Families, and President of the Division on Child, Youth, and Family Services. She holds faculty appointments at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in the Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry and at the Yale University School of Medicine - Child Study Center.
