Biography
Sandra Gossart-Walker, LCSW is the Director of Positive Interventions for Families Affected by HIV/AIDS (PIFA) and Assistant Professor at the Yale Child Study Center. For over 30 years, Ms. Gossart-Walker has been providing mental health treatment, supervision, and consultation for children, youth, adults, and families affected by HIV/AIDS. Mental health and support services in PIFA include home-based, community-based and office-based individual, family and group therapy as well as medical case management and patient navigation.
Ms. Gossart-Walker provides treatment and supervision in the Outpatient Clinic of the Child Study Center. She co-leads rounds and facilitates a specialty program focused on clients transitioning from in-home services to outpatient care. Ms. Gossart-Walker provides leadership in the masters level internship program at the Center, including supervision of interns, liaison with graduate programs, and co-facilitating a practice seminar.
